Technician Perspective

Technicians are field personnel responsible for executing work orders, inspections, and maintenance activities across sites. They tend to operate in environments where network access is unreliable.

Facilio’s Offline capability enables technicians to continue performing their core job functions such as viewing, updating attachments, completing tasks, without depending on real-time connectivity.

Accessing Offline Mode​

  • When the app detects no network connection, it prompts users to enable Offline Mode.

  • Technicians can also manually select Go Offline at any time.

  • Once activated, data relevant to the technician’s briefcase is automatically downloaded.

Supported Actions for Technicians​

  • View and update work orders.

  • Access the Summary and Tasks tabs within a work order.

  • Perform the following actions:

    • Update task inputs (text, number, options, readings).

    • Start, Pause, Resume, or Resolve/Close tasks.

    • Upload attachments and add comments.

    • Capture work duration and before/after photos.

  • All task validations (e.g., mandatory inputs or photos) continue to apply, hence the technicians are bound to these validations during offline.

Restricted Actions for Technicians​

  • Creation, edition, or deletion of work orders.

  • Printing or downloading work orders.

  • Creating or manually triggering inspection templates.

  • Filtration or sorting of records
