Managing Assets

Assets in Field Service Management refers to physical items managed by the organization for the purpose of supporting its operation, maintenance, or production. Assets include but are not limited to equipment, furniture, vehicles, machinery, IT equipment, tools, and so on. Asset management encompasses the administration, monitoring and maintenance of these assets. Also, it gives organizations greater visibility into where, when and how their assets are being used. The assets play an integral role to effectively facilitate management and for a solid operational efficiency. To access this module, click the icon in the sidebar menu. Navigate to the Assets section. The Assets section appears displaying the available list of assets as shown below.

Adding a New Asset

Any new asset in a field service management must be registered with the application to maintain the updated list of assets that helps to track and manage their life cycle effectively

Changing Asset Status

You can specify whether an asset is active, inactive, or retired with respect to its operating condition. When you add a new asset, the status of the asset is marked ‘Active’ by default.

Viewing Asset Details

You can view the details of any asset by clicking on the items in the All Assets section. The information is grouped into Summary, Performance, and History sections for better clarity.
